"The purpose of my writing is to expose and arrest Nova Criminals. In Naked Lunch, Soft Machine and Nova Express I show who they are and what they are doing and what they will do if they are not arrested. Minutes to go. Souls rotten from their orgasm drugs, flesh shuddering from their nova ovens, prisoners of the earth to come out. With your help we can occupy The Reality Studio and retake their universe of Fear Death and Monopoly."
— William S. Burroughs,
Nova Express

My name is Raymond.

I am not a scientist but I might be an alchemist. I am not a wage slave but I am a gleaner. Most of what I seem to do in life can be termed support work.

I keep this journal in order to have some semblance of the fluidity of thoughts, occurrences and happenings in a wider online context. Filtered through me. Its the perfect medium to collate what previously happened in bursts of reverie on my bike and was randomly scrawled on to notes of paper to become meaningless and out of context when rediscovered.

I also enjoy a lot the aggregation of Friends which is possible with LiveJournal. I can browse the developments of many creative visionary and humourous people.

I also hope LJ can provide a necessary discipline for the growth of my own writing skills.

"All cities are geological; you cannot take three steps without encountering ghosts bearing all the prestige of their legends. We move within a closed landscape whose landmarks constantly draw us toward the past. Certain shifting angles, certain receding perspectives, allow us to glimpse original conceptions of space, but this vision remains fragmentary. It must be sought in the magical locales of fairy tales and surrealist writings: castles, endless walls, little forgotten bars, mammoth caverns, casino mirrors."

— Ivan Chtcheglov, "Formulary for a New Urbanism"
